Concert Hall CollectionAn homage to great concert halls

Experience the Steinway Concert Hall Series — an ongoing homage to the world's most storied performance venues, rendered in wood, lacquer, and artisan detail. Launched in 2018 with the Elbphilharmonie Edition, each instrument in the series translates a hall's defining architectural character into the design of a strictly limited grand piano: the undulating silhouette of Hamburg's landmark reflected in a music stand, the Arabesque patterns of Dubai Opera traced across an inner lid, the charismatic bird mosaic of the Philharmonie de Paris woven into lacquered surfaces.
Every edition unites two purposes. As a work of craftsmanship it belongs to the tradition of Steinway art-case instruments — singular objects designed for those who regard a piano as both musical instrument and cultural artefact. As an act of partnership, each sale carries a significant Steinway donation to a charitable project chosen by the honoured institution, so the piano continues to give long after it leaves the workshop.
Editions in the series span the Elbphilharmonie, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra hall, the Royal Albert Hall, Dubai Opera, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the Salzburger Festspiele, with each production strictly limited to a handful of concert grands and salon grands. Nine out of ten concert pianists choose Steinway when they perform — and in these instruments, that same standard of excellence is brought to bear on some of the most celebrated rooms in which they play.
