An edition limited to 20 instruments worldwide, each with a captivating black look. The Black Masterpiece brings together Steinway's finest veneer craftsmanship and its most advanced player piano technology in a single, uncompromising instrument.

Each of the 20 Model B grands features its own individual veneer — drawn from woods including olive, amber tree, tamo ash, eucalyptus, and jatoba — assembled and stained black by Steinway specialists. The inner rim, soundboard, and bridge follow suit in black; the cast-iron plate and all metal fittings are finished in anthracite, with Tahitian pearls inlaid into the fallboard for a final touch of quiet distinction.

Every Black Masterpiece is equipped with SPIRIO | r, Steinway's high-resolution player piano system, and bears a numbered plaque inside the case. No two instruments are alike.
