Igor Levit chooses his Steinway piano: INTERPLAY OF SOUND AND FEELING
Steinway Artist Igor Levit is not only an enthusiastic fan of our grand pianos, with which he can be seen and heard on stages all over the world, but also appreciates the Steinway piano in equal measure. During his recent visit to the Steinway factory, he took the opportunity to choose his new K-132 from a selection of 9 pianos.
The process of choosing an upright is no different to choosing a grand piano. For Igor Levit, the first encounter with the instrument is always the most important and he knows exactly whether he wants to know more or not. The feeling the piano gives him and the dialogue it has with him are also decisive criteria for his choice. In the end, he opted for the piano that promised him a long friendship.
