On September 15 the famous Leeds International Piano Competition 2018 ended with great success. Steinway congratulates this eminent competition and especially the excellent finalists who in a high-class final in the Leeds Town Hall played together with the Hallé Orchestra under Edward Gardner five different piano concertos.

The prizewinners are

1. Eric Lu (USA)

2. Mario Häring (Germany)

3. Xiyuang Wong (China)

The other finalists were Anna Geniushene (Russia) und Aljoša Jurinić (Croatia).

Also in the audience: Lang Lang! He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Leeds on that evening.
