Salzburger Festspiele Limited Edition

The unique Salzburger Festspiele Limited Edition was created in collaboration with the Salzburg Festival and reflects the disstinctive backdrop of Salzburg. As a tribute to the impressive artistic power that characterises the Salzburg Festival, each of the limited edition grand pianos, available in only a few copies, not only impresses with its beautiful design, but also the innovative Spirio | r self-playing system, allowing you to experience artists live in your home. With each instrument sold, young talents are supported and nurtured through the Salzburg Festival's youth programme. The edition is only available during the festival.

Modern Spirio | r technology

Spirio | r technology appeals to a new target group in addition to ambitious pianists and professional pianists: People who play little or no piano but have a great enthusiasm for the instrument.Whether Mozart, Liszt or Tchaikovsky, from Horowitz to Lang Lang, from the Beatles to Adele — the living rooms of owners of a Spirio | r grand piano are transformed into concert halls with performances by great pianists. With the Steinway Spirio | r, they experience piano music as authentically as if the virtuosos were sitting at the piano themselves. With a touch of the iPad, customers have access to the world's most extensive acoustic music library, which is expanded on a monthly basis. With Spirio | r, every pianist can now also record themselves, play back their recording and even edit it.

Steinway & Sons and Salzburg Festival

The Salzburg Festival and Steinway & Sons have had a close relationship for a long time, a relationship that is as close as ever. Together they cultivate an artistic tradition like a precious jewel, which many Steinway artists have elevated to cultural highlights with their skills. Leonard Bernstein, Daniel Barenboim, Igor Levit and Elisabeth Leonskaja — to name but a few — were outstanding links between the festival, the instrument and the music, in which they were able to develop creatively and individually on the Steinway grand pianos handcrafted in Hamburg.
