STEINWAY & SONS PRESENTS A NEW LIMITED EDITION AS HOMMAGE TO THE PHILHARMONIE DE PARIS
As part of the series dedicated to the world's great concert halls, Steinway & Sons presented its new limited edition on the evening of Wednesday, 22nd of May at the Philharmonie de Paris. The limited edition pays tribute and draws inspiration from the mosaic of birds that cover the wonderful venue designed by French architect Jean Nouvel.
More than 300 guests and members of the press were invited to this celebration of craftsmanship and music, with a spectacular concert by Steinway Artist, Bertrand Chamayou, who gave an intimate recital with scores from Debussy to Ravel, to mark the launch of Steinway & Sons' new limited edition in tribute to the French concert hall.
Later, guests were invited to a cocktail at the terrace of the Philharmonie de Paris, where not only the Parisian sunset could be witnessed, but where the Model B of the Limited Edition could be enjoyed up close, firstly in the hands of Steinway Artist, Bertrand Chamayou, who pleased all attendants with a brief encore, and later with the entertainment of Steinway’s high-resolution player piano system SPIRIO | r, which is of course incorporated in each Philharmonie de Paris Limited Edition piano.
