Steinway Employee: Apprentice in the Upright Piano department
As an apprentice, Henri Malarz went through all the stages of grand and upright piano construction until his 2021 graduation. He has been taken on permanently as a piano maker at Steinway & Sons. During his apprenticeship, he was responsible for fine-tuning the key action and damping of Steinway pianos. He is particularly fascinated by how individual instruments take shape and develop their own character.
