Biography
Born in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1994 to German-Korean parents, Gina Alice Redlinger began playing the piano at age four. She became an international sensation when she was 8 years old, following a performance of Haydn’s Keyboard Concerto No. 11 in D Major at a Steinway concert.
Gina has performed in international master classes such as Moulin D’ande International Academy and Burgos International Music Festival. She was a student of Bernhard Wetz at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. She has also received artistic inspiration from Professor Laszlo Simon and Professor Klaus Hellwig at Berlin University of the Arts. She studied with professor Gary Graffman as a fellow of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation.
Gina appeared on German national television in 2007 and her debut solo recital in 2009 was highly praised. In the spring of 2012, Gina’s orchestral debut of Mendelssohn piano concerto No. 1 with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Kazuo Kanemaki at the Berlin Philharmonie was equally well received. In March 2013, she was invited back to Berlin to play Rachmaninoff’s 1st Piano Concerto.
In January 2013 Gina Alice played a sold out piano recital at Hessischer Rundfunk Sendesaal in Frankfurt, Germany. The concert was broadcast on German national radio, hr2-kultur.
In 2014, Gina performed for the third time in the Berlin Philharmonie hall, during the final concert of the Berlin Philharmonic season. She performed Rachmaninoff’s Variations on a Theme of Paganini for piano solo and collaborated with the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra.
In 2016, Gina collaborated with the Shenyang Philharmonic orchestra and Guangzhou symphony orchestra in China. In 2017, Gina Alice gave a recital at the Ruhr piano festival, the largest piano festival in the world. In 2019, Gina Alice and Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra presented the “Moment of Victory” Concert.
In 2021, Gina released her debut solo album, Wonderworld, to critical acclaim. In 2025 she collaborated with pianist Lang Lang on his latest album, Saint-Saëns.
