Spirio SPOTLIGHT

CELEBRATE MOZART’S BIRTHDAY WITH AN ARRESTING PLAYLIST, EXPERIENCE THE CREATIVE WORLD OF SOUND FROM RENZO VITALE, AND LET THELONIOUS MONK CHARM YOU WITH HIS VERSION OF ‘DON'T BLAME ME.’

Australian pianist and STEINWAY ARTIST David Fung is the main contributor to our ‘Essential Mozart’ playlist, created especially for the high-resolution player piano STEINWAY & SONS SPIRIO to celebrate the composer’s 263rd birthday. Fung’s performance of piano sonatas is complemented by other talented pianists who play four-hand works, variations, fantasies and excerpts from operas and the famous ‘Requiem’.

WHAT'S NEW

This month’s SPIRIOSYNC Video honours STEINWAY IMMORTAL Thelonious Monk with footage of his memorable solo rendition of ‘Don’t Blame Me’.

A gifted composer from the modern age is the Italian pianist and acoustician Renzo Vitale. He gives us his progressive original works on the SPIRIO with outstanding creativity and emotion.

We expand on our SPIRIO specialty classic rock this month with German keyboardist Maik Schott who presents new arrangements of Eric Clapton, John Fogerty, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. His South African colleague, noted pianist Charl Du Plessis, adds his version of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and a variety of other rock titles, arranged exclusively for SPIRIO.

Pianist Adam Birnbaum just might be one of our most productive SPIRIO contributors to date. We include four new tracks in the jazz standards collection this month, including ‘Oleo’ by Sonny Rollins and ‘Out of Nowhere’ by Johnny Green.

And another SPIRIO favourite, virtuoso Antonio Pompa-Baldi, performs an arrangement by Busoni of Bach’s Chaconne in D minor.
