STEINWAY & SONS UNVEILS MASTERPIECE 8X8 COLLECTION: WORLD PREMIERE IN HAMBURG

On June 22, 2022, the limited edition Steinway MASTERPIECE 8X8 Collection was unveiled to the public for the first time. Authorized Steinway dealers from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East and a distinguished audience from Hamburg enjoyed two evenings of the extraordinary unveiling ceremony in the Grand Ballroom of the Atlantic Hotel.

On a 24-meter-long stage, all eight grand pianos of the collection presented an imposing aesthetic statement. Whether exotically dazzling in Figured Macore, expressive in Santos Rosewood, or classically noble in Oak — each MASTERPIECE is unique and unmistakable.

Eight pianists, from young talents to renowned artists, made the Steinway grand pianos resound and enchanted the guests with exceptional performances, arranged especially for the occasion. The premiere’s extraordinary musical moments are sure to be remembered by the guests.

The MASTERPIECE 8X8 collection is a tribute to the beauty of nature and preciousness of wood, of which a Steinway is primarily made and which Steinway employees treat with the utmost respect. Handcrafted at the Steinway Factory in Hamburg, Germany, the MASTERPIECE 8X8 Collection, limited to 64 grand and 64 upright pianos, represents the commitment to excellence that has been nurtured for over 169 years.
