THIS MONTH, WE PRESENT EARL ROSE WITH NEW BEATLES RENDITIONS, ELTON JOHN CLASSICS AND PRODIGY CHANGYONG SHIN PLAYING CHOPIN, BEETHOVEN AND LISZT. OUR SPECIAL IS THE EXCLUSIVE VIDEO OF ART TATUM
Steinway & Sons committed pianist and composer Earl Rose plays classic rock songs by the Beatles on the Spirio, our extraordinary, high-resolution player piano. This month, we’re proud to present a variety of original arrangements by the famous British band. Click through the playlist and let evergreens such as ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Yesterday’ and ‘Michelle’ transport you back to the 60s, or discover songs you might have missed, like ‘Do You Want to Know a Secret?’.
The recent ‘Rocketman’, the biopic dramatizing Elton John’s life, inspired us to dedicate a playlist to the legendary pop singer and his musical works of art.
The legendary jazz pianist Art Tatum plays the leading role in this month’s SpirioSync Video. We were able to get hold of exclusive material from 1949 including rare footage of Tatum’s interpretation of Humoresque No. 7 by Antonín Dvořák. In another video, we present an original song, ‘Le Chant du Thermos’, performed by the Belgian pianist Jean-François Maljean.
Korean pianist ChangYong Shin is still seen as a prodigy in the field of classical music after winning several prestigious international piano competitions at a very young age. Listen to his talent, when the Spirio plays his interpretations of Chopin waltzes, Beethoven’s Op. 109 Sonata, and Liszt’s Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude.
Enjoy our latest collection of tunes inspired by movie star Doris Day, listen to the playlist celebrating the anniversary of Richard Rodgers, and discover the latest arrangements of Bernstein’s West Side Story.
And finally, let the young Thai pianist Poom Prommachart charm you with his piano prowess as he performs Tchaikovsky’s Méditation as well as a piece by a Princess of Thailand.
