Songs of Summer, The Eroica Variations, Midnight Blues, and Epigraphes Antiques
Songs of Summer
Midnight Blues
As we head into summer, we highlight new tracks that showcase music of the Beach Boys, and other tunes of leisure, sunshine and relaxation. Many of these tracks are designed for sing-along, but will also set the mood for a favorite season.
Another new themed playlist this month is Midnight Blues, which really combines genres for an engaging late-night listening set.

GEORGE LI
Eroica Variations
And the excellent American pianist George Li returns to Spirio this month with a program that features two major piano works. His performance of Beethoven’s Variations and Fugue in E flat major, Op. 35 “Eroica”, otherwise known as the Eroica Variations is our first recording of this seminal work on Spirio and it highlights the mastery of Beethoven in this form. It is followed by Liszt’s ground-breaking Opus, the Sonata in B minor, a single movement tour-de-force.
Finally, we are also thrilled to present another Spirio premiere of major keyboard works, the sublime 4-hand Epigraphes Antiques by Claude Debussy, which is performed by Manuela Friscioni and Antonio Pompa-Baldi.
