Lunch concert with Steinway Artist Igor Levit
The entire Steinway staff is always fulfilled with pride and joy when famous pianists exclusively perform for them. Such a highlight happened on February 23 when Steinway Artist Igor Levit dropped by for a selection and used this visit for a lunch concert in the heart of the factory.
He delighted the staff with some pieces of Johannes Brahms on stage in the parts production and when he presented his surprise guest Mark Forster, a well-known German singer songwriter, the enthusiasm was great, especially when they performed Forster’s song “Chöre” together.
Both artists were hosting the talent show “The Piano” in autumn 2024 and have become friends since then. They had a great time in the factory and appreciated the dedication, passion and craftsmanship of the Steinway experts a lot who enrich their musical work with such classy grand and upright pianos.
