Lang Lang plays on the occasion of the Steinway’s 171st anniversary exclusively for the staff in the factory
When Steinway & Sons celebrates its 171st birthday, world star Lang Lang will not miss the opportunity to congratulate the company in person and came to Hamburg especially for the occasion on March 5, 2024 to delight the craftmen with a private concert. A very special stage was created for him in the middle of the factory. He thanked the passionate piano makers for the wonderful Steinway grand pianos, which “always offer him musical development and inspiration, no matter where in the world he performs”.
It was very special for the employees to be able to experience Lang Lang so personally and up close. They thanked him with great applause and noted with pride that such extraordinary events can only really happen at Steinway & Sons.
