STEINWAY & SONS opens new showroom in Munich’s city centre
On 17 May 2019, STEINWAY & SONS celebrated the grand opening of a new showroom located at Maximiliansplatz 12b. In the presence of STEINWAY customers, celebrities and artists, Joe Plakinger, Head of Retail Management Munich for STEINWAY & SONS, cut the red ribbon of the new store that offers top-of-the-line grand pianos and uprights.
“We are proud and honoured that exceptional pianist and STEINWAY artist Igor Levit joined us today to turn this premiere into a wonderful experience.” Levit provided a glimpse of future concert highlights. “We will expand upon this spectacular start soon”, Plakinger promises.
Authentic craftsmanship in the heart of Munich
The showroom radiates timeless elegance and offers an exquisite selection of the most coveted grand pianos in the world. The lavish architecture featuring an abundance of glass creates an intriguing contrast to the more classic environment in the heart of Munich. “Now we are right where the cultural and social life or our customers takes place – and are part of it”, Plakinger rejoices.
Masterful artisanship meets digital innovation
How tradition can be combined with the technological progress of the digital age becomes apparent through the STEINWAY Spirio, the high-resolution player piano by STEINWAY & SONS. This masterpiece of precision, technology and artisanship offers an unparalleled musical experience. Using an iPad, the user can even bring the performances of the world’s finest pianists to their own grand piano. Give it a try!
